AG Baig Ather´s two books released

The two books ‘Rishwat Ach Lanat’ authored by veteran poet and writer and member Adbee Markaz Kamraz AG Baig Ather and another book ‘Tooth Nabi’ which is translation of a famous book Sroor-ul-Mahzoon authored by Shah Wali-ul-Allah Muhadis Dehalvi and translated by the Ather were released at a colorful function in Kupwara on Wednesday.      Kupwara, Dec 30: The two books ‘Rishwat Ach Lanat’ authored by veteran poet and writer and member Adbee Markaz Kamraz AG Baig Ather and another book ‘Tooth Nabi’ which is translation of a famous book Sroor-ul-Mahzoon authored by Shah Wali-ul-Allah Muhadis Dehalvi and translated by the Ather were released at a colorful function in Kupwara on Wednesday.

The function was organized by Kupwara Cultural Trust in collaboration with Kupwara Pensioners and Senior Citizen’s Association at Town Hall Kupwara.

Noted poet and writer Prof Mashal Sultanpuri, the prestigious Sahitya Academy awardee, presided over the function.

Member Parliament Sharief-ud-Din Shariq and MLA Lolab Abdul Haq Khan were the chief guests on the occasion who released the two books.

Speaking on the occasion, Sahriq assured all help and support to the trust and for promoting Kashmiri culture and literature.

Shariq lauded Ather for writing a book against corruption. “Ather sahab has tried to trigger a debate against corruption.”

MLA Lolab Abdul Haq Khan said Kashmiris needed to shape their character and intellectual class.

Educationist, Ateeqa Bano; President Kupwara Cultural Trust, Muhammad Yousuf Mashoor; President Pensioners and Senior Citizen’s Association, Ghulam Mohuiddin Poshpori also spoke on the occasion. Habibullah Wani, Abdul Hameed Andrabi, Gulzar Jaffer and Ayob Dilber were among the others present on the occasion.

In his presidential address, Prof Mashal Sultanpori said writing a book against the menace of corruption was the need of the hour when corruption had crept into the roots of the society
